Life Membership

Dear Members, 

I am writing this letter to each of you because there seems to be some confusion within the Membership with regard to "Life Membership". I hope this letter will serve as a guide and that you, as officers, will pass this information to the members of your Chapters.

In accordance with the Dance Masters of America’s ByLaws, Article IV, Section 4B, Life Membership:
1. Life Membership may be conferred on any member who has been an active member for a minimum of twenty-five (25) years and has retired from the dance profession.

Dear Members,

I am writing this letter because the National Office is receiving more and more Membership Applications that are in violation of our National By-Laws. It is my recommendation that each Chapter Officer and Member reviews the National and Chapter By-Laws to be sure that you are following the guidelines for membership. 

The By-Laws, Article IV Membership, specifically details how Membership Applications are to be handled by both the Chapter and the National Organization. (Examination Requirements, cont..)
